Postpone and Delay Campaign Display

Why use this setting?

Postponing or delaying a campaign helps you avoid showing messages too early or too often. By choosing whether a campaign appears immediately, the next day, next week, or at another interval, you can control how frequently users see it. A short delay in seconds (usually 2–3 seconds) also makes the campaign feel more natural and less aggressive by giving visitors time to settle on the page before the message appears.

Where it works best?

Use postponing and delay when you want to create a smoother, less intrusive experience:

When preventing the same campaign from appearing too frequently in a short period.

When introducing messages gradually across days or visits to avoid overload.

When avoiding immediate pop-ups that disrupt the user’s first impression.

When improving UX on entry pages with a short, gentle delay before showing the campaign.

What does it solve?

These settings help reduce intrusiveness, prevent message fatigue, and make campaigns appear at moments when users are more receptive. A brief delay allows the page content to load first and gives visitors time to orient themselves, improving both engagement and comfort.

Best practice tip:

Use a 2–3 second delay for a more natural feel — but be aware that delays over 2 seconds can negatively affect LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) metrics. To avoid this, enable wait for user interaction, which ensures the campaign appears only after the user interacts with the page, preventing any performance impact.
